The Crotona 3K promises to be an exciting and challenging course for runners of all skill levels. This 3K race will take runners through some of the most beautiful and historic areas of Crotona Park, with stunning views of the lake and the surrounding trees.
The race will begin at 10:00 am by the Crotona Park Amphitheatre, and runners will follow a winding course through the park, with plenty of hills and turns to keep things interesting. Along the way, runners will pass by some of the park's most notable landmarks, including the Indian Lake.
As with all Race The Bronx events, the Crotona 3K is about more than just running. It's about celebrating the beauty and diversity of our borough, and bringing together members of the community for a fun and challenging outdoor experience. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to try something new, we hope you'll join us for this exciting race in one of the Bronx's most treasured parks.
This event is directed by an RRCA Certified Race Director.
The course starts at Cortona Park Amphitheater and follows an 800-meter loop around the Crotona pond. After completing the loop, runners continue on an outer loop through scenic trails and paths. Finally, the course returns to the amphitheater for the finish.

Q: Are there medals for this race?
A: No medals will be given for this race, but we will be providing lots of other giveaways!
Q: Are walkers allowed? Are Baby Strollers allowed?
A: Yes & Yes! Walkers and parents with strollers can sign up for the race but will be ask to start at the back of the corral. Walkers will have an 1 hour time frame to complete the 3k distance.
Q: What If I can't make it? Can I get a refund?
A: There are no refunds for this race, but we are allowing bib transfers if you'd like for someone else to take your place.
Q: Will there be bibs for this race? If so, when and where will we be able to get them?
A: Yes, there are bibs for this race. Bibs will be given out the morning of the race, at Crotona Park, beginning at 8:30am. Pins will be provided.
Q: Will there be a bag check area?
A: Yes, we'll have a bag check area with volunteer staff monitoring your belongings.
Q: Will there be post race refreshments provided?
A: Yes, we'll have waters and fruit for registered runners and walkers.
Q: Can my friends/family cheer for me along the course?
A: Yes! Absolutely we'd love to see folks cheering along the course.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Animals and pets are not allowed on the race course, but if you are a person with a disability and will need your service animal with you we will accommodate.
